It is the most painful incident in the history of city of the Taj, Agra, a city which is known for its symbol of love. The people of Agra should set an example of love and affection. Unfortunately Dr. Brihaspati Roy did exactly the opposite.

On the 8th of Dec 2013, at 10.30 pm. in Wazirpura, Agra an incident touched the soul of every human being when they heard about the gruesome murders of 10 innocent puppies of approx. 20 days of age, by Dr. Brihaspati Roy a doctor by profession. He is a resident of Wazirpura Agra. A person in this profession is considered to be a healer, a life saver but Dr. Roy proved himself to be a cruel, ruthless murderer. He killed the ten innocent puppies with his own hands in an alcoholic rage. Dr. Roy killed the innocent babies brutally by hitting the sleeping babies with a heavy stick repeatedly till they all were dead.

The mother of the babies was barking for help but the callous-hearted man did not stop despite resistance by a lady living nearby. He immediately stuffed the dead babies in a bag and threw them in a dumpster. Fortunately a body of a puppy was discovered by a neighbour and its body was taken into custody. PFA Agra was contacted and immediate steps were taken to see that the culprit did not go scot free. PFA team took immediate action by lodging an FIR against the doctor at Hariparwat Police Station Agra. Mrs. Maneka Gandhi was also informed of this incident; and with her help we could lodge a complaint.

Keeping in view the heinous crime committed by Dr Roy, we suggest that he should be severely punished so that a message should go to society that in future, no member of the society should dare to commit such a crime.

 

Further it is requested that the Medical Council of Agra should view the incident seriously and take steps to debar him from practising.
