A few weeks back, Xanitos, a hospital housekeeping company fired 80 employees who worked at St. Mary's Hospital in West Palm Beach, Florida. They subjected employees to drug, nicotine, criminal background, credit and literacy tests. Many of those fired were let go because of their, "inability to communicate in English." Never mind that some had been working at the hospital for years without issue. 

The hospital refused to step in and prevent the firings, but you can help. Write to Xanitos and tell them to rehire workers who were fired because of these absurd literacy tests.
