WEEK 13 OF LETTER WRITING TO GET UAFA PASSED

San Francisco, CA, United States
Created May 25, 2009

The Issue

"Every week, Out4Immigration targets a member of the House  AND the Senate who we think understands and supports our issues but hasn't signed on to co-sponsor
the Uniting American Families Act (UAFA) yet.

This week we will be writing to:
Representative Corrine Brown [FL-3]
Senator Roland Burris [IL]

We are also increasing our efforts by emailing/faxing letters to staffers of this week's Congress people. We have revised the letter so that it can be universally emailed, faxed and/or snail mailed to staffers as well as to the Representative and Senator.

The addresses and a draft letter are listed below.

Representative Corrine Brown
2336 Rayburn House Office Building
Washington, DC 20515
Fax: (202) 225-2256
www.house.gov/ corrinebrown

Senator Roland Burris
387 Russell Senate Office Building
Wash DC 20510-1305
Phone: (202) 224-2854
Fax: (202) 228-3333

Chicago Office: (more district offices)
230 South Dearborn, Kluczynski Federal Building
Chicago, Illinois 60604
Phone: (312) 886-3506
Fax: (312) 886-3514

Staff members for Senator Roland Burris:

Staff members for Representative Corinne Brown

Please remember, that even though letter writing might seem old-fashioned in the era of emails and social media,
it is still the BEST way to reach many members of Congress. Very few accept emails from people outside their district –
so grab an envelope and a stamp, and get started!"
Thanks,
