In the UK McDonalds sold Root Beer as one of it's main soft drink options until the late 80's and then because it wasn't widely popular the decision was made to drop it. A few choice supermarkets in the UK until about 2008 used to sell it too. But it is now very hard to get hold of and doing so can mean paying extortionate import costs from the US. But we are now in a time of choice. If you look down any drinks aisle in any major UK supermarket, you will see so much choice and variety and indeed a market even for the artisan choice of authentic ginger beers and colas. So ASDA, TESCO, Morrisons, Sainsburys and Waitrose. One of you, or all of you, the market for people who would buy this drink is not as small as you think.
