UEFA: Retrospectively award the 1973 ECW Cup & winners' medals to Leeds United.

The Issue

It is generally accepted that the match official for this Final, Greek referee Christos Michas, was guilty of decision-making throughout the game that was blatantly biased towards Leeds' opponents, AC Milan. This issue was previously petitioned before UEFA by MEP Richard Corbett in 2009, but the match result was not overturned despite the widely accepted view that the fairness of the result was open to grave doubt due to the performance of Mr Michas. Since this petition failed, Mr Michas has died (25.8.2010) and it may be that UEFA might look more favourably on the case for retrospectively reversing the result than they felt able to during the lifetime of Mr Michas.
