On December 9, 2011, the House revealed a plan for new legislation which could allow states to drug test recipients of unemployment and welfare benefits. By doing this, the Republicans in the House are justifying the violation of the 4th amendment of the Constitution which prevents citizens from illegal searches and seizures by assuming that being "poor" makes you high risk for drug usage. We should DEMAND that the House, first, pass legislation requiring they, themselves to pass a drug test to be a member of the United States Congress.
