Farm workers in California are routinely exploited, exposed to toxic chemicals and forced to work in the hot sun without adequate shade or drinking water.

Yet two months ago, California Governor Jerry Brown vetoed the most important farm worker protect bill in a generation, the "Fair Treatment for Farm Workers Act," saying he was "not yet convinced" it was necessary.

But the fight continues. A revised version of the bill is working its way through the state legislature, and we need to convince Gov. Brown to do the right thing when it lands on his desk. That is why we are once again joining the United Farm Workers, the union founded by Cesar Chavez, to support this critical piece of legislation and put pressure on Gov. Brown to sign it into law.
