Controlling population of stray dogs and cats is important in order to reduce hazards to human population and to reduce diseases like Rabies. However, killing the dogs is not a solution and is infact a highly cruel method which should be strongly condemned. Vets Care Organization urges the Govt to stop killing of dogs and adopt humane ways to control their population such as Animal Birth Control Program through neutering/spaying of stray dogs.
