Since its launch, Barclays Cycle Hire (Boris Bikes) has proved hugely popular. But in the area of St James's Park, there are no docks, despite being an area busy with tourists and workers. Creating a docking station here would ease pressure on other docks, enable more journeys and increase access to this historic part of London. Having rejected the Mall as a location in 2009, we call on TfL to work with Royal Parks and Westminster Council to revisit this site for installation of a docking station in the next phase of the scheme's expansion. A Mall docking station would enhance the area's character and enable more people to enjoy it.
