Senate Republicans are doing all they can to obstruct judicial nominees and keep them from ever reaching the bench.

It is time for Senate Democrats to overcome the Republicans’ strategy of slowing, stalling and stopping judicial nominations.

The White House and the Senate must move with urgency to nominate and confirm highly qualified nominees who will uphold our core constitutional values.

The Senate has moved on schedule with Elena Kagan’s nomination, but we cannot allow the other judicial nominees to languish. It is time for the Senate to stop playing politics with nominees and confirm them in a timely manner so that the American judiciary can do its job of ensuring equal justice under law.
