I am writing to seek your help in resolving a matter between me and a major UK supermarket. I would be grateful if you could help me by signing this petition and encouraging others to do the same.
I strongly believe that certain managers and staff of a major UK supermarket acted dishonestly in the events leading to, and during the meeting of, my dismissal from the company (a few years ago). I also believe their solicitor has lied in his correspondence with me, which occured very recently.
I was appalled by the behaviour of the people who conducted the disciplinary meeting. You can see comments from social networking websites of one of the people who was present during the meeting at the top of this page. I recall that this was the person who made notes of the meeting.
The supermarket has acknowledged certain points to be true. However, when I told them that I want to distribute flyers outside certain stores containing those very points they accept to be true with their responses, they warned me that they will take legal action under a civil claim.
The supermarket has failed to answer some important questions:
1)The company told me that the issues I raised were directed to the relevant people and addressed but they have not told me - despite my request that they tell me - which of the issues I raised were addressed.
2) The company maintain that the correct procedures were followed yet do not want to tell me if I was treated fairly and consistently. Even when they say the correct procedures were followed, they always argue that the meeting wasn't a disciplinary meeting - despite the dismissal letter stating that it was. [My dismissal was not summary nor was there gross misconduct.]
Please see the document and the video for more information (the links are shown above).
I always had doubts and concerns about the behaviour of those concerned with my dismissal and whether or not they followed the proper procedures for my dismissal. My motivation to speak out against these people came partly when I saw comments on Facebook and Twitter written by the HR manager in training (see the image above) who I recall took notes of the meeting and signed both letters given to me on behalf of the comapany. I recall that I was accused of lying in the meeting.
Please help me.
I hope you sign the petition and spread the word to your friends and family.
Thank You
M K Uddin
