I have been a loyal customer of Subway for years, starting when I attended college. I absolutley love the Italian BMT, Meatball Marinara and Subway ham in general amongst other Subs, however to my disbelief I was informed the other day that Subway were to stop selling certain products due to "strong demands" from Muslims.

For years now, Subway staff have been more than happy to swap gloves if requested for vegetarians etc, so my petition is simple. Re-Instate Pork Products at Subway Stores.

If there are strong demands from Muslims to STOP selling pork, surely there are even stronger views about actually stopping this and replacing with Halal meat. I do not agree with the the process of Halal meat, and therefore now will NOT go visit any Subway store that has Halal meat. It is ok to accomodate different beliefs whether that we religion or dietry beliefs i.e. vegetarians, however taking something off of the menu and replacing with something that an apparent 'minority' of the UK population want is wrong.
