You might recall Sen. Lisa Murkowski’s (R-Alaska) attempts to gut EPA's authority to regulate carbon emissions under the Clean Air Act on behalf of her polluter pals. Murkowski offered her Dirty Air Act resolution earlier this year to roll back EPA’s “endangerment finding” — its ruling that greenhouse gases are pollutants and a necessary first step in EPA setting climate regulations. 

Happily, Murkowski’s Dirty Air Act was defeated in the Senate, 53 to 47. Unhappily, Sen. Jay Rockefeller (D-WV) has taken up her mantle and revived the Dirty Air Act for, he hopes, one more go-around this year. It could be a really close vote, since this time Rockefeller -- coal-beholden lawmaker if there ever was one -- has sweetened the bill for his fellow Democrats by "only" calling for a 2-year delay.

Except with the planet barelling towards an irrevocably warmer future, even a moment's delay is really too long. There is nothing left to debate. Tell your Senator to stop any attempts to gut EPA's ability to regulate greenhouse gases right now.
