Members of the Radcliffe on Trent community object to the proposed demolition of the Radcliffe on Trent Community Pool for the following reasons:

- Community involvement, including fund raising for original build

- Hundreds of families who will no longer be able to swim

- Impact of losing lifeguard/ first aid trained residents

- Need for leisure facilities in the village 

- Negative impact upon health

We would ask that South Nottinghamshire Academy and Rushcliffe Borough Council:

- Reconsider the location of the School rebuild to leave Radcliffe Swimming Pool in place

- Allow the Radcliffe community access to the pool as a vital facility

- Allow residents to search for support to keep it open, rather than it being knocked down
