How can we be a great nation when we continue to oppress some of our citizens? 

How can we advance and legitimize absurdities, often in the name of God, to frighten others into accepting and adopting a morality which segregates, disenfranchises and harms other fellow Americans? 

Why do we refuse to learn from our mistakes? 

Clearly, the mantra of our history teachers did fall on deaf ears.  However, it is never too late to learn from previous mistakes.  Indeed, we cannot right the wrongs of the past, but we can certainly prevent them from flourishing in the future. 

Urge your elected official to repeal “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy and to work to secure for equality for all Americans.
