Further to our earlier posting regarding Al Jazeera filming a documentary in the Solomons on dolphin hunting, we have received reports claiming that in the past week in excess of 350 dolphins have been caught and slaughtered on Fanalei Island on Small Malaita. Interestingly the Solomon Islanders who were assisting with the filming claim that attempts to make a successful dolphin catch during Al Jazeera's time on the island were unsuccessful and did not occur until the day following their departure. 

Experienced dolphin hunter Philip Ouou claims that the failure to have a successful capture was due to the fact that "the hunters were not united during the TV crew's stay on Fanalei; however after they left we put our minds together, united and went on the hunt, resulting in the successful catch." However, was this really the case or was it not simply a tactic to stop the hunt being captured on film by the visiting media?

It is further claimed that this latest catch brings the total number of dolphins caught this year to be in excess of 1,000.      

 Recently, Solomon Islands Courts have Approved the re-export of live dolphins for profit, most recently to Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Originally this practice was stopped by the government in 2004 after international uproar over a Shipment of 28 live dolphins to Mexico. The move resulted in Criticism from both Australia and New Zealand as well as Several Conservation ORGANISATIONS. <==As a voter,we will keep pressure on Australia and New Zealand not providing any fund to you and boycotting your tourism industry in Solomon Island

私は今ほど、日本国民であることが情けなく、悲しみ、怒っている事はありません。
