As with Megaman, Phoenix Wright is a Capcom character who was conceived and molded on Nintendo systems, having first appeared in the 2001 GBA game "Gyakuten Saiban" until the more recent 2012 3DS crossover with Professor Layton "Reiton-kyōju vs Gyakuten Saiban". Phoenix Wright even made it to Nintendo Power's top 5 heroes list, along with Mario, Link, Mega Man and Samus (and curiously is the only one that isn't in the upcoming Smash Bros.)

The Ace Attorney series is very popular on the internet, what with Wright's "Objection!" catchphrase becoming a meme. Phoenix Wright was also in the roster of the fighting game Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, where he was shown to work very well in the fighting genre.

While the first trilogy has also appeared on smartphones (albeit Android is only in Japan), otherwise the series is Nintendo exclusive, including four games, one (Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Dual Destinies) set to release this fall with the Japanese version already out.

Think about it. If a top-5 Nintendo Power character isn't appearing on Smash, then what is? We would like to see the Capcom character appear in the next Smash Bros.
