Local residents do not wish to venture into town to do their banking, many residents are now thinking of moving their accounts elsewhere in order that they can stay banking local.

There are many people in Caversham who would find it hugely inconvenient to have to travel into town to organise their banking.  Many of us are signed up for Online banking - But many of us also get paid by cheque and need to physically go to a branch to bank the cheque.

There are also elderly & vulnerable people, not to mention children qith savings accounts who find it convenient to go to their local branch as opposed to using cash points or Internet banking.

Caversham is a thriving community with plenty of foot fall - the banch is always busy - Despite this closure we are advised that there are two branches in town - We don't really need two branches a few metres away from each other - we want a branch our side of the bridge - a local branch for local people.
