We feel that a permanent memorial bench for the late and great Rik Mayall should be placed as close to the location of where the opening credits for one of his best shows 'Bottom' was filmed. Rik changed the face of comedy in the UK, he had a huge impact on thousands of people throughout the UK and around the globe. A creative genius and firecracker of always on tap energy that shaped a nation. He gave a nation so many great shows and memorable characters. We, the fans and friends, feel that we need a place where we can remember him and placing a memorial bench at this location is something we feel he would have loved. The council removed the original bench years ago, please sign our petition to have a memorial one replace it in honour of Rik, the legend, the irreplaceable Richard Richard.
