Dudley M.B.C have experienced such a HUGE public backlash due to the proposed closure of 7 out of 20 of Dudley's Children's Centres, that they have completely backtracked. 

They have now said that NONE of the Centre's will be closing.

This is obviously a big step forward for us, BUT the Council are still pushing forward with 'Restructuring'.

This could mean services at Netherton Park Nursery School & Children's Centre could still be under threat, but we wont know more till the end of consultation (Jan 2014).

It could still mean the potential reduction of the Family Services that could be offered.

The services lost/reduced could be; Antenatal & Postnatal groups (Tums to Mums), Healthy Cooking Courses, Baby Massage, Family Swims, Fun Days, Stay & Stay Sessions, PEEP Groups, Family Trips, Baby Weighing Clinic, Parenting Courses, Citizens Advice, and more indepth Family Support, amongst others.

What we do know for certain from the obvious evidence is that YOUR signatures and YOUR forms make an immense difference, so please, carry on signing, filling in and spreading the word!
