A famous Washington lobbyist named Lanny Davis recently gave into a Change.org campaign calling on him to stop representing Laurent Gbagbo, the democratically ousted president of the Ivory Coast who refused to step down after losing presidential elections.

But Gbagbo is hardly the most egregious of Lanny Davis' clients.

For months the Washington lobbyist has been taking exorbitant sums of money from one of the world's most corrupt dictators: Equatorial Guinea's President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo.

In the summer of 2010, Davis signed a $1 million annual contract to represent President Obiang, who has ruled Equatorial Guinea for over three decades and is accused of countless human rights abuses throughout his tenure.

An American lobbyist should not be taking exorbitant amounts of money from an illegitimate leader to help him suppress the democratic rights of his people.

Call on Lanny Davis to immediately drop President Obiang as his client.
