The annual cost of flood defences is estimated at £1 Billion per year. HS2 is estimated to cost at least £50 Billion. Let's call on David Cameron to scrap HS2, a project that will only benefit a minority of the countires population and instead reallocate the funds to guarantee a further 50 years of adequate funding for protecting peoples homes and livelihoods from water damage.
