We believe that Moazzam is a human rights activist. The arrest was politically motivated and we want to see Moazzam Begg safe and sound, reunited with his family.

Previously Maher Arar, A Syrian-born Canadian was tortured in 2002 by the US intelligence. He was released without charge a year later, with a despicable apology from the Canadian government. We want this injustice to be the last time it occurs.

Injustice has already been served when Moazzam Begg was taken to Guantanamo Bay to serve a sentence without a trial or charge. He was released and became a voice for the voiceless. During this case, we want the authorities to handle him with care, so he is not retraumatised.
