UPDATE: I am sad to learn that Stephen passed away this morning, so I have now closed this petition. Thank you to the over 35,000 people who signed and agreed that Stephen is worthy of thanks by a grateful nation. My thoughts are with his family at this time.

Stephen is terminally ill and his dying wish was to make people aware of the horror of teenage cancer.  With dignity and wit, he raised OVER THREE million in DAYS.  He deserves to know that the nation has taken him to heart and that he will live always in memory for doing something amazing!  His legacy will benefit so many people, it is right and fitting that he be honoured in this small way.  I do not know Stephen but I wish I did.  He is a true hero and it would be an honour to address him as Sir!
