Close the zoo, and ultimately the breeding programme. Rehome the animals in sanctuaries and zoos where they are cared for and can live long, happy and healthy lives.

Close the zoo, and ultimately the breeding programme. Rehome the animals in sanctuaries and zoos where they are cared for and can live long, happy and healthy lives.
The Issue
On Sunday 9th Febuary 2014, an 18 month old giraffe was killed and disected at Copenhagen Zoo, in public (in front of young children) for being 'surplus.
Three zoos, one in the UK, one in Sweden and one in The Netherlands, offered to take Marius the giraffe, a healthy, 18 month baby.

Sign the petition now to close the zoo and ultimately, the EU breeding programme that puts healthy animals to death for being 'less genecticly important' or 'surplus.' It's too late for Marius but it's not too late for other animals to be saved.
