During the past two weeks an overwhelming amount of misinformation has circulated both nationally and internationally concerning the passing of one of our students. It is unfortunate that much ridicule has been based on inaccurate and unsubstantiated information. The school district is required to maintain confidentiality regarding student information and we have respected the family’s right to privacy.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Mr. Adamek and his family and we will assist him any way we can.

I would like to express my sincere appreciation for the support of the Sparkman community, Dr. Copeland and his staff and the Board of Education during this trying time. You are what make Sparkman High School a great school and Madison County a great place for students.
