List Shoreham Airport as a Community Asset

List Shoreham Airport as a Community Asset
The Issue
Shoreham Airport building is the oldest working airport in the UK. The famous Dieppe raid of 1942 was planned in the terminal building. The airfield hosted fighter pilots in WW2 and reconnaissance planes in WW1.
The building is Grade II* listed but in a state of rapid decline. The current leaseholders have not met their responsibility to do the repairs, despite a contractual obligation to do so. The community now needs to step in to ensure that the building is protected against redevelopment. The best way to do this now is to list the building as a community asset.
We are launching FOSA (Friends of Shoreham Airport), a campaign group to provide local expertise on the running of the airport and to campaign to protect it for the future. Membership is open to all.
Sign this petition to express your support for the oldest working airport in the UK, site of the famous magnificent men and their flying machines, and vital asset to the UK in both World Wars.
Petition signers will also get more updates about the future of the airport and information about how to join FOSA.
