Brent Council and Brent RSLs: Pledge not to evict tenants falling into arrears through welfare cuts

The Issue

Social housing tenants don't choose where they are housed, and they have no control over council decisions to build (or sell off) appropriate homes at appropriate rents.

We believe that we, and our community, deserve protection and support from our local council against unjust cuts to welfare benefits which threaten many with homelessness.

The impact of these changes could rip our community apart. We need to stand against them, and we need our council, and our social landlords, to stand with us.
