BBC: To increase network TV and radio production by the BBC in the Midlands

The Issue

As a publicly funded organisation the BBC is obligated to reflect the importance of our region. The Midlands needs the support of the BBC but it should also be recognised that the BBC needs the support of the 10 million people who live in this region.

Campaign for Regional Broadcasting MidlandsPetition StarterI am a commitee member for the Campaign for Regional Broadcasting Midlands - a lobby group that has been formed to promote the Midlands as a place to create and make television & radio. There has been a gradual migration away from the region by major broadcasters and the result is that this important, diverse and highly populated region is now virtually absent from the airwaves.
