This petition is calling on the BBC to broadcast a debate between the leading candidates for the European Commission.

The Europe Union and European politics receive very little direct coverage in the British press. There will be at least six televised debates between the European Commission top candidates. This process it gives some personality to the European Parliament election campaigns for the first time.

We, the undersigned call on the BBC to either prominently broadcast the debate between the five group top candidates Jean-Claude Juncker, Ska Keller, Martin Schulz, Alexis Tsipras and Guy Verhofstadt on 15th May at 20.00 GMT from Eurovision and EBS or to organise a debate between the top group candidates for broadcast.
