Apply the Nuremberg Precedent to G. Bush, R. Cheney, and the Republican Party

The Issue

Whereas: The invasion and occupation of Iraq was and remains a crime against the sovereignty, peace and dignity of the people of the sovereign state of Iraq.

and Whereas, Iraq has been and remains a member of the United Nations since 12-21 21 December 1945,

and Whereas it has been manifestly proven that certain high ranking members of the Republican Party of The United States, (George Bush, Richard Cheney, members of the Bush Administration, and others) wielding the full and unrestricted power and authority of the government of the United States of America, (itself a member of the United Nations since 24 October 1945) within their uncontested grasp did knowingly, willingly, and with malice aforethought, conspire to produce or have produced and presented false and falsified evidence, publishing and publicizing said false evidence in a propaganda campaign to justify or excuse the crime of waging aggressive war.

and Whereas the Nuremberg Precedent, in efforts largely led by the government of the United States, did establish aggressive war as a crime against civilization.

and Whereas, within the United States as indeed within all United Nations member states, national and international Law requires that the responsibility for the death and destruction sustained in the commission of a crime be born by the perpetrators of that crime.

and Whereas, it lies within the power, authority, and responsibility of each such member state to take such actions as it may deem needful to ensure the peace and security of its' people against crimes and criminal acts whether originating domestically or from foreign sources, asserting and exercising such jurisdiction as may be required to prosecute the perpetrators international crimes.

and Whereas the United States having engaged in aggressive, criminal invasion, dismantled the government of Iraq and facilitated the trial and execution of one Sadaam Hussein by the quasi legal means of trial by Iraqi citizens acting without the mandate of a duly constituted government or set of laws by which statehood might be recognized.

We, the undersigned do charge that the United States government has shown itself to be in violation of such standards of decency and peaceful conduct as may define 'civilization' and demonstrated that the continuing foreign policy of the United States represents a continuing threat to peace between member states and others.

We charge the current government of the United States, and the duly constituted governments of each and every member state of the United Nations to aggressively pursue the prosecution of the responsible members of the Criminal conspiracy known as The Republican Party of the United States for any and all such acts and actions as may be found to have violated the standards of civilization in the unjustified criminal invasion of Iraq.
