We are writing to ask you to do everything in your power to immediately stop the execution of Sakineh Mohammadi Ashtiani.
In addition, we urge you to ban stoning, enact legislation ending the death penalty, prohibit the use of flogging and decriminalise adultery.
We oppose in the strongest possible terms the execution of Sakineh Mohammadi Ashtiani by any means, and urge you to commute her death sentence immediately.
