Mindef lied to an animal rescuer to disclose the identity of one of the NSmen
who took the video of the dog being tied up by saying it's for investigation purposes and no charges will be filed.

Instead what they did after knowing the identity was to charge the NSman for videoing it and seeking help for the abused dog, and also charged a senior officer for letting the NSman out of camp to contact the animal welfare group (Animal Lovers League), while the Lieutenant Colonel who was the abuser was let off scot-free with both AVA (Agri-Food & Veterinary Authority of Singapore) and MINDEF (ministry of defence) insisting the statements of the 9 NSmen to be untrue and unfounded. Even though they were witnesses to the abuse and was threatened to be charged if they were to speak a word of the incident of it to anyone.
