We are well aware of the divisions in society but, without taking sides, wish to call upon those responsible for initiating an attempt illegally to take over the reins of government to consider seriously the grave consequences that could follow from their actions. We urge an immediate halt to all unconstitutional measures and a return to legitimate politics for the well-being of our precious Abkhazia, its reputation for tolerance, and the viability of its democratic and independent future."
