 The 3rd runway will remove the habitat of the pink dolphins permanently. Pink dolphins can only live in swallow HK water.  If there is a permanent loss of current habitat, pink dolphins (unlike bottlenoses) will die because they cannot live in the deep ocean.  The white elephant project itself will take 50-80 years to recoup all the construction costs which will not create any benefits, rather it will create permanent and one-off damage to the environment in terms of noise, air and water pollution. SHAME on the HK government.

Dr. Bernd Wusig of Texas A& M University opines that the HK government should construct a marine park first to mitigate the serious impact to be caused by the construction of the 3rd runway.  However the HK government refused to build the marine park first.

Dr Bernd Wusig and Professor Thomas A Jefferson of NOAA Fisheries, Southwest Fisheries Science Centre opine that dolphins will return to old habitat.   HOWEVER, pink dolphins and porpoises are not bottlenoses, pilot whales, pseudo orcas, orcas. The endangered pink dolphins can only survive and breed their babies in the swallow territorial waters in HK.

 

 

第3條跑道將剷除粉紅海豚的棲息地。粉紅色海豚只能生活在香港淺水(江边地方,所以又稱江豚。如果有現在江边棲息地永久損失，粉紅色海豚會死，因為他們不是樽鼻海豚,殺人鯨,偽虎鯨, 在深海洋生活。  粉紅色海豚   不能生活在深海中,她們的嬰孩会被海洋冲走,她們要在江邊孕育撫養婴孩。大白象項目本身將需要50-80年才能收回所有建設成本的，不會產生任何效益，而是會在噪音，空氣和水的污染方面建立一次性的和對環境造成永久性損壞。羞恥的香港政府。

得克薩斯州A與M大學的貝恩德Wusig博士認為，香港政府應興建第一座海岸公園，以減輕第三條跑道的建設引起的嚴重影響。然而，香港政府拒絕先建立第一個海洋公園。

貝恩德博士和NOAA托馬斯·杰斐遜教授發表意見，指海豚會回到舊的棲息地。然而，粉紅色海豚不是鯨類, （如樽鼻海豚，領航鯨，偽虎鯨，逆戟鯨）。瀕臨滅絕的粉紅色海豚只能在香港淺水(江边地方)不是海洋。
