This is important for the economic development of the town.  It will remove traffic from residential areas, making it safer for those who live in the affected areas.  It is important not only to local citizens, but to communities to the north of the city, making it more efficient for all to access the hospital (especially in an emergency) and shopping (which is primarly being developed in the south-end of Peterborough).   A bridge over the parkland (in actual fact it is a road allowance) is an acceptable compromise.
