The situation:

Percy, a great dev in the Xperia P section, known for bringing cm10.1, cm10.2, cm11, omnirom and other aosp based roms to our phones, left XDA due to internal conflicts with the developer comitee. With him we loose one of the best devs for our Xperia.

The conflict from MY perspective:

Percy opened a thread in the Xperia L section, providing aosp builds for the Xperia L community, too. Some other devs, who state to loose their donations to him. Due to that they used their connections to close percy's thread. Percy's reaction was to end his XDA activity. The whole Xperia community has to suffer.

My opinion:

This case is against the spirit of android and opensource in general. Everybody should be able to contribute if he wants. The more ideas we have, the better Android becomes (at least on our devices, but maybe in general too).

Donations are free gifts from free people. Everybody decides by himself if and how much to donate.

What should happen:

I hope that this petition makes the XDA RC/RT comitee having a constructive dialog with percy and hopefully solve the situation.
