FREE Porker the Pit Bull! He is Innocent!
The Issue
Discrimination and money are the key components in Porkers case!
Porker has been at the shelter for four long months, and if the State has their way, he will be deemed vicious and be killed!
The problem is that the state of Arkansas is NOT Pit Bull friendly, and is taking this man at his word. They have shown no interest in looking into Porkers background and getting statements from other neighbors, veterinarians, and other people that know him and have been around him his whole life. Instead they are taking the word of a man that has filed a frivolous lawsuit for damages against Bill Collins, Porkers Dad!
Yes, Porker got out of his house and was in the man’s yard. He was seen playfully running around while his wife was shoveling snow. When she went in the house, he followed her. Not to attack, he was just following her inside! He doesn’t know a stranger, he is friendly with everyone. If he were a vicious dog like they are claiming, he would have attacked her in the yard. Seriously!
This man claims, and the State has chosen to believe that, Porker came charging into the house, jumped on the couch attacked his fingers ONLY, and attacked his dog. When he was finished attacking them, he let them put him in a crate, where he was sitting quietly, when law enforcement arrived. If a dog is in aggressive mode, he’s not going to stop and allow you to crate him!!
Porker was supposed to be quarantined for just 10 days and then returned to Bill. When it was time for him to go home, Bill found out that this man filed a vicious dog complaint and was asking the state to kill Porker. Instead of him going home like animal control promised, they left this loveable and playful dog that has NEVER, EVER, had an altercation of any kind, dumped in a cage at the shelter. He has been there for 120 days! That is a scary place for every dog, but especially a dog that is used to the constant companionship and love of his family.
Bill offered to pay for all of his, and his dog’s medical bills, but he declined & filed a civil lawsuit!
Would they be so quick to judge and condemn him to die if he were a lab or a border collie? The State is willing to accept this persons lies because Porker is the wrong breed.
We are asking that the State consider the FACTS, and the source of the complaint, before they take an innocent family member and euthanize him.
