Water bottles have immense negative impacts on the environment, from the energy required to produce, deliver, and cool them to the fact that Australians only recycle 36% of plastic bottles, the rest of which end up in landfills or the ocean. By prohibiting the sale of bottled water at UNSW, we can help protect our environment and work towards more sustainable behavior.
