On 2 June 2014, the Government admitted:  “we do not have a complete list of all the Crown land within the state”. 

So how can it make any sensible and coherent policy without knowing precisely the lands potentially affected?  In truth it's telling us: Just trust us.  We'll work it out as we go along.

There’s something not right here: why all the secrecy and why the sudden urgency?

All secrecy does is build public hostility and no wonder, secrecy is a necessary component of corruption.  It is what makes corruption possible.  It is rarely in the public interest but always in the private interest.  It’s always a means of avoiding public accountability that is fundamental to representative government.
