My wife has terminal breast cancer and on March 7, 2014 I will be attempting to complete a full Ironman distance triathlon, indoors. I am taking on this challenge to raise much needed funds and awareness for the McGrath Foundation and to support breast care nurses throughout Australia.
Due to this taking part in the country town of Orange, NSW Australia, many friends and fellow runners want to take part, but cant physically be there on the day.
We would like to petition Strava to open a special 'challenge' to take place on this day, where people log the distances they run. All runs on this day will be done in memory of, for, or in support of, those affected, suffering or fighting breast cancer world wide. Our goal would be to run 1 million kms on March 7.
People would also be encouraged to wear pink and to post photos of themselves on the many media outlets, facebook, twitter, etc.
