We urge you to start the Melbourne Metro underground rail project and help get trucks off suburban streets by starting the Western section of the East – West link project.

These two well-developed projects will improve public transport and help get thousands of trucks off suburban streets.

We believe that the Melbourne Metro underground rail should be started because it makes new lines to Doncaster, Monash Rowville and Tullamarine possible. It also allows more train services to be added to existing lines carrying more passengers.

We believe that the Western section of East West link should be started because it takes trucks off suburban streets, supports the expansion of the Port of Melbourne and offers an alternative to the West Gate Bridge.

Both these projects will have massive economic benefits and will create many local jobs. They will also reduce road congestion and help commercial traffic.

We urge you to start both the Melbourne Metro and Western section of the East West tunnel.
