Place convicted ''Bulli rapist'' Terry John Williamson under supervision for the rest of his life
The issue
Terry John Williamson, dubbed the “Bulli rapist”, terrorised the Illawarra region for 10 months with a series of brutal sexual attacks against 11 victims, including a five-year-old girl and an 11-year-old boy in 1989 and 1990. After serving 22 years of a 24-year maximum sentence, Williamson was released under strict parole conditions in February 2012. On May 7, 2014, with that parole period about to end, the NSW Supreme Court made a 28-day interim supervision order imposing a number of strict conditions, while Williamson undergoes psychiatric examination. Williamson’s crimes ruined many lives and his victims still live in tremendous fear. His first victim, who was 13 when she was raped by Williamson, is asking for the supervision order to be extended. She wants Williamson to remain under supervision for the rest of his life. Her story can be read here. This petition asks the NSW justice system to grant her request.
