Many people have struggled and still are - to keep a roof of their own. When they finally reach retirement - which is being pushed further away - you are suggesting they sell their home or 'reverse Mortgage' it instead of receiving a pension that they paid towards during their working years.

This menas that their children or other beneficieries will receive nothing and therefore may likel;t have to rely on government assistance to helpo them in their lives.

Owning your own home is the Australian Dream. It also provides work for many people. From construction, mainteneace, banking and finance, real estate  tax and so on.

This is heartbreak.

Many people struggle to own their own home. Now you make us wait another 2 years before we are eligible for the pension and to add insult to injury, you then want us to   - SELL or Reverse Mortgage  OUR HOME.

So, does that mean that YOU persdonally will also sell your home instead of taking out a golden Pension? I don't think so.

What an insult!

If the governemnt are looking to save money, then they should look into their own backyard first.
