Australian government: Stop ID fraud and theft and cease plans on harvesting citizens private conversations and ID

The issue

My ID belongs to me.
My ID consists of all the bits which together sum up my existence. According to society I can prove who I am by sharing these tantalising and less tantalising bits of info. The more I am forced to hand over my complete ID details to governments and businesses the more my ID is at risk of being stolen.

We all know that any computer database is hack-able. Would anyone reading this really be so silly as to store all his or her private details together on one page, in one location, on their computer system?

Our Australian government insists on it. Unless we hand over all our private ID details to be stored on a hack-able database, we’re denied our birthright of driving the common roads.

Just imagine all ones private details together in one location such as

Silly Person lives at

Stupido Street in

Zombie town in

LalaLand

and Mum’s name and surname are such and such and pets names are so and so and driver licence number is spelled out here for you and right underneath it you’ll find the signature and the Silly-Person-face to top it all off so that anyone at all can find/impersonate Silly Person wherever and whenever they want.

Can you imagine anyone being so daft as to serve up all their precious ID details freely to anyone on a platter? How insane to imagine that anyone would ever do this, considering the very real possibility of ID theft.

And yet, our government demands it. Unless we share all our private ID details with the government, the government denies us our birth right of driving our common roads. For our own safety .. so they tell us.

In the same way we’re told that it is for our own safety to allow the government to listen in to our private conversations.

Please help us say no to governments encroaching on people’s right to remain private and in charge of their own ID. Please help us stay in control of our own ID  and not being forced by law to give all our ID details away to be stored on hack-able databases .. or else ..

Thank you for joining us and saying NO to the Australian government. Thank you for your vote which helps us say NO to being forced to have our private ID details on hack-able databases and NO to our private phone conversations being tapped without our knowledge.

My ID belongs to me and your ID belongs to you. It does not belong to our government. It is not up to them what happens with our ID. It is up to us.
