Protect Wild Tigers
At the 14th Conference of the Parties to CITES (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species) in June 2007, 171 Parties to the Convention agreed to a decision by consensus that urged parties not to breed tigers for the trade in their parts and derivatives.
More the one year after this decision, tigers are still being bred on industrialized farms in China for the purpose of trade in their parts, stimulating a market for tiger parts and derivatives and providing an incentive to poach wild tigers.
Please send an e-mail to the CITES authorities, urging them to fully implement the CITES decision to ban the breeding of tigers for the trade in their parts and derivatives.
