A deal was BROOKERED by MAYOR BARRETT (who is up for re-election in 2012) with GOV. DOYLE (who is up for re-election in 2010), STATE SUPERINTENDENT EVERS (Just Elected) TO HAVE MAYOR BARRETT take over the MILWAUKEE PUBLIC SCHOOL BOARD.

They called MPS board member Michael Bonds to try to pull him into the deal by offering Michael Bonds a spot on the appointed board that he's planning to replace the elected one with and, very much to Michael's credit, he said, "No, thanks."
