Help SAVE Endangered Species NOW. ..especially POLAR BEARS. Fight Palin.

Today, President Obama announced that he will reconsider the Bush Administration's regulations that weakened the Endangered Species Act

This is a great victory thanks in part to the Endangered Species Coalition and the 105 groups who signed onto our letter asking the Obama Administration to overturn the regulations. We need your help to make sure they can quickly restore protections for endangered species.

Please help save endangered species! Last week, the House passed a bill that included language that empowers the Obama Administration to overturn the Bush Administration rules that weakened the Endangered Species Act and blocked conservation measures for polar bears. This week, the Senate will vote on the bill.
However,  Alaska Senator Lisa Murkowski and Alaska Governor Sarah Palin are furiously trying to strip the provision from the bill.  We need your help to stop them right now.  Please join us to restore protections for the polar bear and other endangered species.   The Endangered Species Act is the safety net for our nation's wildlife, fish and plants on the brink of extinction.  The Bush Administration's new regulations cut a hole in the safety net and take scientists out of the decision making process. These changes alsoblock important conservation measures under the Endangered Species Act to help the polar bear.
Take the polar bear pledge and support our efforts to save the polar bear and other endangered species.
The Senate will vote on the bill by the end of the week.  The Endangered Species Coalition and our member organizations are launching an all-out effort to pass the bill and empower the Obama Administration to restore protections for the polar bear and other endangered species.
Please join the Endangered Species Coalition today and support our work to save endangered species. Congress and the Obama Administration can overturn the Bush Administration's regulations that weaken the Endangered Species Act.  But, they need to hear from us right now.  If you have not already, please send a letter to your Senators urging them to pass the bill that restores protections for endangered species. Thank you for speaking up for polar bears, gray wolves, canada lynx, pacific salmon and thousands of other endangered species. Sincerely,
Leda Huta

Against these day's world burocrats that build on top of any green land, that dismember the natural habitats, who don't care or are not even aware of Nature around. Against those who don't respect the Earth nor the animals (humans included). Just one more silent voice shouting to the world

Endangered Spices are that Threatened and driven to the point of extinction.  Please prevent this from happening to the Polar Bear and other species that depend on their environment for survival.  Global warming has it's costs, to mankind and the animal kingdom.

I think this one may already be on the board somewhere because I have already voted for it (on the 28th according to the voting record) ... not that it matters much that it has been posted twice. As Andrea pointed out to me, a double posting is better than NO posting at all!

I will dig thru my files and post some links to find out how our Congressmen voted (as soon as I find them).

I sent my e-mail yesterday because the senate was supposed to vote on this today, Tuesday, March 3.  Does anyone know a quick, easy link to find out how the senators voted on this or any other matter?
