To reduce homelessness by prioritising housing for ALL women escaping domestic violence
The Issue
at 999 Club, we are aware that more people are being forced into homelessness by the shocking rise in the instances of domestic violence. Yet, whilst we welcome the recent changes to the Domestic Violence Act to help address this, for those who have no recourse to public funds, are on visas or seeking asylum, they are still facing multiple and complex challenges in order to receive the necessary support.
By signing this petition, you will be helping us to make a real difference as 999 Club believes that ALL women - no matter of their status - should receive priority housing to help them escape domestic violence and avoid becoming homeless.
We have recently opened a women's only service to support those who are homeless and have been victims of abuse. Our Women's Sanctuary empowers those who come to us at a real time of need and helps them move forward towards a brighter future.
Thank you for your support.
