WHY IS THE 600 FOOTHILL PROJECT BACK???

WHY IS THE 600 FOOTHILL PROJECT BACK???
The Issue
This is a density example at 28 dwelling units per acre, not a representation of a certain project. Source: City of La Canada Flintridge Housing Element & Safety Element Update Workshop #2 Planning Commission Meeting, Thursday, June 10, 2021, page 39.
The La Canada Flintridge CIty Council REJECTED on a 4-0 vote in November the massive development championed by then Councilmember Jonathan Curtis. Well, it's back! As the City prepares its 2022 Housing Element for the State, the draft allowable zoning for this property and a few others on the South Side of Foothill were UPZONED to 25-30 dwelling units per acre. 600 Foothill would be basically the SAME density that the City Council has already rejected!
We the residents signed below insist that the Housing Element return to the 12-15 units per acre for this area that the Councilmembers just recently endorsed and the April Draft Housing Element contained.
